The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. The Grove Creek II Office was the second building at this office park constructed by Big-D. This project was for core and shell construction of a new, three-story, Class A, multiple-tenant office building. The Grove Creek building features a flexible tenant layout, modern finishes, and efficient LED light fixtures throughout. Construction of tenant amenities included employee shower and changing rooms, bike storage and lockers, and EV car charging stations. The building exterior is finished in TerraNeo, a high-performance specialty stucco. Big-D’s scope also included a 17,300-sf tenant improvement buildout for Wattstopper-Vantage on the third floor, which was completed concurrently with the construction of the core and shell.

The Utah Community Credit Union Freedom Office &amp; Warehouse project is comprised of a new, three-story, 23,860-sf building with a credit union branch location on the lower level, administrative offices on the second and third floors, and an additional 3,875-sf warehouse building with a small mezzanine. The main building features modern finishes, wood and tile accents, oversized windows, and contemporary lighting.

Building materials and finishes complement and create a visible connection to other UCCU structures by incorporating traditional brick for a strong base and glass and metal panels for upper building levels. The Freedom Office project also involved construction of three drive-up teller lanes below the upper-level offices. Construction was challenged by the building’s close proximity to overhead power lines. Big-D coordinated with the City and established strict procedures to ensure public safety and that no powerlines were damaged in the process of construction.
