The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.

The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. King&#8217;s Crown is a ski-in ski-out mountain resort development at the base of Park City Mountain Resort with an overall construction value of $72 million. It is the last community to be built directly on the resort and features a mix of townhomes, high-end luxury condominiums, and private residences. Big-D Signature partnered with the developer in 2018 and since that time has constructed four condominium buildings, seven townhomes, the King’s Crown Tower and Ski Lounge, and a number of private residences. The Townhomes at King’s Crown are seven connected but individual high-end dwellings on the north side of Rothwell Road. Each four-story unit exceeds 4,000-sf, features two-car garages, game rooms, roof decks, multiple fireplaces, and high-end finishes throughout. Residents will have easy access to world-class skiing, biking, hiking, and everything else Park City has to offer.

King&#8217;s Crown Project marks the first on-mountain development in more than 40 years in Park City, built by Big-D Signature.

Alf’s Restaurant is an on-hill full-service restaurant located at the base of the Supreme and Sugarloaf ski lifts at Alta Ski Area. The Restaurant had been in operation for 25 years prior to this much-needed renovation. The expansion create space for a new gift/ski shop, expanded dining room, and mechanical, electrical and storage room facilities to support the expansion. Construction included the relocation of existing utilities, new footings and foundation walls, structural steel, expansive storefront/curtainwall systems, exterior rock, standing seam metal siding, and MEP and fire suppression systems upgrades. Interior finishes were updated throughout the restaurant, giving the restaurant a modern and refined look. The scope of the expansion also included a restroom/shower area and living quarter expansion for seasonal restaurant employees. The work required a complex split schedule that spanned two seasons due to location, weather, and extent and complexity of construction.
