The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. The Ogden operation grew quickly, taking on larger and more notable projects in the food and beverage processing, manufacturing and industrial warehouse sectors. The Ritz Classic Apartments is a new five-story, multi-family housing project. The apartment complex is located on the site of an iconic building – the former Ritz Bowling Alley – and the historic bowling alley sign was preserved and refurbished as part of the new community. The new apartment complex is a 287-unit property with a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. The first level is a dedicated 300-stall resident parking garage. Construction of amenity spaces included a fitness and yoga room, sports lounge, swimming pool, spa, outdoor kitchen/grilling area, and fire pit. The building, shaped like an “E” enables inside-facing residential units to open toward two central courtyards. The building exterior is constructed of brick veneer along the first two floors with stucco accents on the corners. The design is contemporary with elevated finishes like granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and marble center islands.

Midtown 360 is a multi-phase mixed-use project that has spanned more than 15 years for Big-D Construction. Work began with the South tower, a 315,055-sf, seven-story building that included 129 residences, retail and commercial space. Big-D subsequently constructed tenant improvements for multiple retail tenants. The North tower was similar at 302,829-sf, seven-stories, 157 residences, and a mix of retail and commercial. It also featured a rooftop urban lounge and extensive courtyard spaces. The next project was the Northwest phase, a four-story, 209,919-sf, 104-unit apartment building. Each of the first three buildings have two-level, subgrade parking structures of varying capacity. Construction of community amenities over the years has included state-of-the-art fitness centers, clubhouse and lounge, business center, swimming pool and spas. Currently, Big-D is working on the Southwest structure, another four-story, 104-unit apartment building that’s just over 105,000-sf.
